Springpad vs Evernote -- It Might Be Better | 40Tech A few weeks back, while researching for my comparison review of Shelfster and Evernote, I stumbled upon another alternative to collect information and organize your life: Springpad. I had the pleasure of speaking with the CEO and co-founder of Springpad, Jeff Janer (formerly of Third Screen Media and Britemoon) — and I have to say, Evernote user or not, Springpad may have a place in your life.

To test this theory against my normal giddy excitement for new tech, I got my wife to try it — and, let me tell you, if my wife can find a new piece of tech both useful and exciting, then it may just be one of the best bits software to appear in a long, long time.

Recently we were contacted by the good folks at Shelfster, and asked if we might be interested in doing a review on their “application which allows you to easily organise and share with others your favorite information from the web, offline documents or real world”. Are You Less Social (Media) Because You’re Older?

social media privacy According to tech pundits, location-based apps are "the next big thing."  Location based apps like Gowalla and Foursquare, which allow you to "check in" to locations and venues via your mobile device, and share with your friends or the world at large, are all the rage.  Other apps share even more personal information, such as your spending habits.  Blippy, for example, lets other people see and discuss what you’re buying, after you enter in credit card information and other types of accounts.  How comfortable do YOU feel with the new round of social media apps?
