Holidays can be a dream come true for tech geeks, since many of us receive new tech gadgets as gifts. Since tech geeks love hearing about new gadgets, software, and games, let us know in the comments what new tech loot you received for the holidays, and what your initial impressions are.

I received a Roku XDS receiver, and a Netgear MoCA Coax-Ethernet Adapter Kit. I’ll probably report back with a full review later, but both have left me impressed. They’re working in tandem right now – the Netgear extends our network to the second floor, using our cable television wiring (think of it like powerline networking, but faster). The Roku is plugged into the Netgear device, bringing Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, and numerous other channels to our bedroom.
I also received some video games, a few gift cards that surely will go towards tech, and a cool “spy watch” that can take video and photos. The watch is geared towards kids, but my wife knows me well and knew that I’d have fun playing around with it.
Now its your turn – make me drool! What cool gadgets did you get?
Alana @ Domestically Challenged says:
For the first time in a long time, I didn’t get anything tech related. I didn’t really have a big want this year – I already have an iPod Touch, Nook, HTC Evo, laptop, netbook.

Livescribe Echo, the thing is pretty cool. Only bad thing is I got one with a bad mic so Livescribe is shipping me out another.

Ooooh, I’m definitely drooling. I see it even integrates with Evernote. I’ve just gone and added that to my Amazon Wishlist, for the next gift receiving occassion.

The integration with EN is cool, definitely a added bonus.

Thanks to Dell offering it for $20.00 and BestBuy doing a price match, I finally got myself my DroidX I’ve been waiting for.
I consider it a Christmas gift as I had my wifes blessing to get it as my gift as it has an obvious monthly expense on it being a data plan.

Are you loving Android as much as I am, Anthony? I think Swype might be my favorite part so far. My Captivate takes me back to my Treo days, when I had tweaked my phone just right, so that it really felt like MY phone (as opposed to my iPhone, which felt like I was borrowing Steve’s phone).
By the way, I’m now following you on AppBrain.

I got an iPad — though it wasn’t really a Christmas gift. It was more of a business expense to facilitate more game reviews for cash for the site GameonMac.com, where I also do iPhone game reviews.
My telephone/cable/internet provider is sending me a brand new Xbox for free for switching over to them. Does that count? :D

I’d say it counts! Let me know what games you end up getting, and I’ll look for you online. I still don’t play my console a ton, but 10X more than I did in the past.
And yay for the iPad! Although the initial “wow” factor has worn off, it is still quite a handy part of my daily routine.

Since I’m a gamer I got a nice set of Skarkoon 5.1 Xtatic headset.
What a difference it makes to gaming and BluRay movies.

Cool stuff, David. That’s something that I don’t have – a gaming headset.
