If there were any doubts that Google is looking to have Google+ pervade all areas of your life, those doubts are now fading. Brand pages now appear in Google search results, with a convenient “Add to Circles” button right on the search page. Whether you’re ready or not, Google+ is going to be invading your life.

For many years, I was a happy subscriber to Carbonite. As the number of computers in my household grew, however, I needed a more economical solution. My wife and I each had a desktop and laptop, and I also ran a Windows virtual machine on one of my Macs. That made five systems that I needed to backup. I recently stumbled upon mention of a study done several months back indicating, among other more important facts, that 39% of smartphone users have used their phones while going to the bathroom. I’ll admit to having done that, which I’m sure many of you would, too. But it got me thinking about a much more important question.
