Hello, I'm Evan. I write about tech from my perspective – that of the average tech geek, sometimes with my lawyer glasses on. You can also find me on Twitter and at my real-life job as a lawyer. MORE ABOUT ME.
(Just had a thought, would be nice to have a follow button, click it and a copy of the thread’s URL gets added to a list in your account – since there’s no notification of an update to a thread, unless you’re specifically tagged, this might a temporary work around? cc: @manton)
@40Tech A number of ideas have been proposed to make discovering others better. I really like the ideas such as yours where I can drive the discovery than having only an auto (or curated) Discover.
@40Tech Yes, think he has a good vision so I’m waiting patiently. It’s already “good enough” I’m able to use it for the great majority of my social media interaction.
@vishae I’ve had similar thoughts, so needless to say I also like that idea :-) Right now I manage by a combination of Favorites, open tabs, bookmarks, and hoping I follow the person who makes the next contribution to the conversation :-P
@ronguest@40Tech You’re both aware that there are more tagmoji-driven Discover “sections/searches” available than the 3 showing at the top of Discover at any given time, right? I’m never sure if people know about @Burk’s page or not… (Not the same as a keyword or blog-post-category search, of course, but something.)
@40Tech Hrm, seems not. If you already have one of the links inside the app (in someone’s post/reply, like this), it should follow them internally, but I think you’re stuck otherwise w/r/t the app :-(

Unfortunately I read my timeline mainly through the app, so I can’t do any of that – but maybe I can mark some of them as favourited…

@vishae Agree 100% with this. In general, it would be nice at time to make my micro.blog experience more targeted, instead of a bit random.

@ronguest The good news is that Manton really seems keen on advancing the platform, so hopefully we’ll see some good stuff down the road.

@smokey I wasn’t aware of that. Cool. Any way to get to those pages in the apps? Loads in the in-app browser and you can’t load conversations
