My Mac Feels Delightful Again

The term “delight” is often used to describe the feeling some users get when using iOS, whether that feeling is from the touch user interface, the apps, or something else. I often get that feeling when using iOS, too. While I prefer using the Mac for a variety of reasons, the feelings of delight on the Mac were less frequent for me – until recently. Changing up one of my main tools has brought that feeling back in spades. For you, it might be a different tool entirely.

I was using that certain other new-ish Twitter-like network, & seeing only new posts in the timeline made it so much easier to follow, & pleasant to use. Wish there were a setting for that here. The “Show mentions only to people I’m following” setting gets part way there


Desktop wallpaper is overrated, I’ve decided. I rarely see it, since open apps cover all my desktop spaces.


There’s some sort of weird parallel between the official Twitter app & Comcast’s official cable box. Had Xfinity Triple Play installed yesterday. Kept the official box long enough to activate free Netflix, then mailed it back this morning. Tweetbot = Tivo in this example


Has there been any word about a setting to only show the 1st post in a conversation in your main feed (i.e., don’t show replies unless you drill down into a conversation)? Having to scroll past comments without context is the one thing that keeps me from spending more time here.
