Do you hate your local radio stations with a blinding passion? If not, you’re probably at least a little bit tired of hearing the same pop princess on the airwaves over and over and over and… well, you get the idea. Don’t despair! You’ve probably heard there are at least a few sites out there that do their best to provide you with alternatives to your local stations, and make it easy to find and lock into what you need. These are sites that will bring you real radio from around the world, as opposed to the often licence-restricted Last.FM or Pandora — and three of the best out there are RadioTuna, RadioTime, and Tun3r. Each have their good points — read on to see which will work best for you.

You might remember our post on Threadsy Beta way back in January. Threadsy is a great web app that pulls all of your email, Facebook and Twitter info into one neat little interactive package, and even gives you some detailed multiple social network info on your contacts. In May, Threadsy went live to the public with a slew of new features, and has added even more in the last week. It’s safe to say that Threadsy is growing fast and doing well, so if you tried it and dropped it, you might want to look again — and if you haven’t played with Threadsy yet, we recommend you check it out!
Here’s the shortlist of Threadsy’s new features, some detail on their latest updates, and a few things we would still like to see:

Aviary, the folks who created the online image editing suite, has come back again with their newest creation, Roc, a fun and extremely easy to use tool that allows you to make beautiful (if, so far, short) music right from your web browser; and, of course, share it with all of your friends, make it discoverable, etc, etc. Roc is in alpha, according to the splash screen, and is, thus far, free – and about 10 tons of musical fun!
A few weeks back, while researching for my comparison review of Shelfster and Evernote, I stumbled upon another alternative to collect information and organize your life: Springpad. I had the pleasure of speaking with the CEO and co-founder of Springpad, Jeff Janer (formerly of Third Screen Media and Britemoon) — and I have to say, Evernote user or not, Springpad may have a place in your life.
To test this theory against my normal giddy excitement for new tech, I got my wife to try it — and, let me tell you, if my wife can find a new piece of tech both useful and exciting, then it may just be one of the best bits software to appear in a long, long time.
How smart are your Twitter followers? How do your followers stack up against the followers of other Twitter users out there? Fret and worry no longer, for now you can learn the answers to these important questions, using Stupid Fight. Stupid Fight is a website that allows you to input two Twitter usernames, and compare the "intelligence" of the followers of those users.
If you haven’t noticed already, my tongue is firmly in cheek while writing this post. Stupid Fight is a real site, though, so read on to learn a bit more about it, and how it measures the intelligence of a Twitter follower.
