I sent three cell phones to Giztopia.com last week after having received what I considered to be generous quotes. I sent each phone by FedEx using the prepaid shipping label furnished to me by Giztopia.com and the first of the phones was received on Saturday and the other two will be received tomorrow and Wednesday by Giztopia.com. The website guarantees that the quotes furnished will be honored for 30 days. Today the sales department told me that it was no longer accepting phones because of a pending combination with another company and that it would return the phones it received from me and instructed me not to send any more phones. I had already received quotes for two more phones I had intended to send Giztopia.com but I agreed not to send those two. As to the three I already sent Giztopia.com, I told the company that I fulfilled my part of the bargain by sending the phones last week and that I expected Giztopia.com to honor its agreement to purchase them. The phones are in exactly the condition I represented. Nowhere on the site are customers instructed not to tender their phones and the site continues to issue quotes and shipping labels. The ONLY difference between today and yesterday is that the site has drastically reduced the prices offered for the phones I sent by about $100 each or a total of $305. Obviously, if Giztopia.com were no longer accepting phones, there would have been no need to adjust the prices and website would state that it no longer accepts phones. I want your readers to know that Giztopia.com is not reputable and that its guarantee is meaningless. The company has no integrity.
