I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve had an Android phone for a while now (HTC Hero then EVO 4G). I was eligible to upgrade in the Fall, but decided to wait on the iPhone 4S and see what Android phones came out in the ensuing couple months.
Therein lies the problem for me. I’m frustrated by the fact that there’s a new Android phone always on the horizon. It’s great that there is so much choice, but I’m sure if I had upgraded 6 months ago I’d be wanting an HTC EVO One or Samsung Galaxy SIII now. At least with Apple you know your new phone won’t be one-upped in the next couple of months by something with the latest “gotta have it” feature.
Also, I rooted my Android phone and am always putting a new ROM on it. Again, great that there is so much flexibility, but I think I spend just as much time tweaking my phone as actually using it.
