I wasn’t a huge fan of Springpad before, but I thought it had potential and given the ongoing text formatting problems with Evernote on iOS I had hoped that it would develop into a usable alternative, even if that wasn’t its intended purpose. However, with the latest update it has moved even further away from what I need (a research tool capable of creating, editing and managing long text notes, and lots of them) to what I don’t (light weight sharing, liking and social networking). It also crashed several times while doing nothing in particular, something it hadn’t done in the past. And when I emailed an HTML email into it, it took several minutes to show up and when it did the font was too small to read with (apparently) no way to zoom. At that point I deleted the app from my phone. Sorry, wrong type of customer!
