I wonder the same thing re: scrapers. It would seem to be simple logic to program — I’m not a programmer, though, so… *shrugs*

Gmail does do a pretty excellent job of catching spam, but a few sneak through now and again. Hotmail’s is pretty good too. Still, running naked with email addresses — especially from other services or your domain/ISP — can be asking fro trouble.
