Hi Michael. Welcome to 40Tech! :D
Sorry you missed the giveaway. Coon cat, eh? I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen one of those…
Glad to meet another person on the GTD train! And thanks for the compliment. :) In answer to your question, the Evernote setup is still viable — great, in fact, if you are a minimalist/pen and paper type looking for some technology that compliments you. You can even modify the system using the new Notebook Stacks feature, which I plan to write about soon. If you are looking for something that connects to a calendar and has reminders, though, you might want to consider redding my GTD in Producteev and in Springpad posts, or a couple of our recent Reader Workflows — which are guest posts from readers on how they get things done.
Mostly, I use Producteev, now, due it’s excellent gmail/email and gcal integration. I’m always looking at new software to test though. In fact, me and another 40Tech reader, Daniel Gold, will be launching a productivity blog very soon that will showcase several different step by step GTD setups.
I’m happy to talk about this more, but we should do it in email, so as to avoid continued post-jacking. :)
