On your last point Andreas, where Springpad could really try to find its niche is in the Output of one’s things and ideas collection. In other words, by incorporating social network services, consumer sites, and such, Springpad can bring to the forefront the information that you store when it’s applicable, so you’re not just saving a picture of a wine label or the cover of a book, you’re also getting alerted to when you’re near a shop that carries that bottle or when there’s a price drop on amazon for that title.
And if Springpad creates these partnerships before evernote and really fleshes out these services, evernote could effectively get squeezed out of the market. How these alerts would apply to the plethora of events, objects, actions that people could want to be involved is a perplexing organizational challenge.

I’d like one of these players to invite me to a brainstorming session. I’m giving away all my best ideas, and lately they both seem to be bobbing in the water.
