Very cool. I’m interested in seeing Bobby’s articles.

Having another writer on board can be a great experience. My own blog started as a one man operation. I was trying to provide quality content seven days a week, but ran into some stumbling blocks:

1) With a full time job and a family, it was incredibly hard to have an article ready every single day

2) I wanted to cover a broad range of topics, including some where I didn’t have expertise

3) As I shook off a decade of rust from my writing, I realized that I wanted to spend more time on my ficiton, including projects outside the blog. This cut into by available writing time.

I added a couple of writers in May, more in June, and more in July (some weekly writers, some monthly writers). We have a nicely heterogenous group, with writers from 4 US states, 2 Canadian provinces, and a writer from Sweden who will write her first article this week. I only write 2-4 times a week now, and I use the title Editor in Chief.

I lured the writers with the promise of proportional profits sharing monthly writers would get 1/30th of profits). This could mean a few bucks for them … if/when profits emerge :) (I was pefectly honest about the financials, of course – all the writers are basically seeing themselves as volunteers with possible financial gain)

Anyway, enough about me – I was just meaning to say that it’s nice to have some other writers to share the workload a bit. The other writers can also share unique viewpoints.

Good luck, guys!
