If you are even halfway interested in some of the “neat-o” tech available in futuristic sci-fi films, you are going to want to learn all you can about Skin. Skin is a hot new bit of tech that’s been brought to market by Displax, purveyors of several intriguing touch screen devices such as Crayon, an interactive table for kids, and the Oqtopus multitouch table. Skin takes all previous future-tech from Displax to a whole new level , though. We’re talking touchscreen-on-any-surface kind of cool.

Even the mention of gadgets spurs excitement among the geek crowd. Cell phones, laptops, tablets, and more all get our hearts racing. On the flip side, there are keyboards. You can’t get much more utilitarian an item than a keyboard. Most of us peck away at keyboards much of the day, without giving much thought to a device that is decidedly unsexy. Salespeople at your local electronics store (and Monster itself) will do their best to convince you that, to get optimal video and audio quality out of your new hi-def system or video card, you need that top of the line, $150 6-foot hdmi cable. What most probably won’t tell you is that the store gets a much higher profit (and salespeople get more commission) on your expensive cable purchase than they do from your new LCD TV or Playstation 3.
